Otter Tail Lake Ice
This photo was taken the morning of 11 26 2010 by the Corner Store on the west end of Otter Tail Lake :) If the temps stay down it should be ready for sailing on Sunday or Monday!!

Some more sailing on Blanche Lake
I sailed on Blanche Lake again this morning, before the SNOW started to fall. Looks like we will be getting several inches of snow in the next 24 hours :( This will cover up the nice ice on Otter Tail Lake (that I did not get a chance to sail on) :(

OTL ice update
I did check out the NICE sheet of ice on OTL tonight, it is only about 2 1/2" to 3" thick, but seemed very solid when walking on it. I plan to check again in the morning, but the temps will not be much below freezing tonight:(
I did get some 40mph+ speed runes in today, but the ice conditions on Blanche Lake where not the best, but it was still a great afternoon of sailing (my first time out with my DN) :)

ice update
I sailed Blanche Lake today. 6" of ice with some patches of 1" snow cover. I still plan on checking out the clear ice on OTL First thing Monday morning. Dirk Siems

Distance from Twin Cities
Otter Tail Lake is about 1hour north west of Alexandria.
I plan on checking the ice and hopefully sailing this afternoon and again on Monday.
